What is the HOT cabinet color in 2024?

As we usher in 2024, there’s a fresh color set to dominate kitchen design.

With its natural and refreshing appeal, green is the new go-to in varying shades, from soothing sage to olive and even deep forest green.

In a recent 2024 cabinet trend report, Masterbrand announced Foxhall Green as their color of the year for kitchen cabinets.

Green paint colors have been on the rise since 2022, when all the major paint brands Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, Behr and PPG chose GREEN as their color of the year!

I also shared green as an emerging cabinet paint color trend in 2022.

Foxhall Green from Sherwin Williams (buy peel and stick sample) has a light reflectivity value (LRV) of 7 it is a DEEP green. So be careful using this dark green in kitchens that don’t get a lot of light.

There are more warmer whites to choose from and grays are warmer too. Love a crisp cool white?

Oh, the timeless allure of white cabinets! Just like a little black dress, white kitchen cabinets have a classic appeal that never goes out of style.

That’s what happened in my kitchen…my soft white cabinetry started looking like took creamy because they had a yellow undertone. That’s why I ended up updating the cabinet paint color to a crisp bright white after living in my home 10 years.

Just like white cabinets, gray cabinet paint colors shift over time too. So what I will tell you is COOL grays are now out. I predicted this in 2021.

However, gray cabinets continue to be a favorite due to their versatility. Instead look for WARM GRAY or greige as a more on trend option for your kitchen cabinets.

Two-toned kitchen cabinets, the a staple in kitchen design, are still on trend in the new year. Here are 54 different paint color options for a kitchen island paired with white cabinets.
