Web Beacons

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. Porch Daydreamer uses Hubspot (sign up for our email newsletter) and MailChimp (deliver our emails) forms that employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs). Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users.  In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages or in emails.

We use clear gifs or pixels in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients and which website links have been clicked.  This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of communications and our marketing campaigns. We tie the information gathered by clear gifs in emails to our customers’ Personal Information.

Additional information on consumer tracking can be found on the FTC site by clicking here.

If at any time you would like copy of your www.porchdaydreamer.com stored data or would like it have it deleted complete contact us by clicking here. Fill in the contact form at the bottom of the page and in the SUBJECT  line use “Remove Data”. Please allow 30 days for the process to be completed.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
