Williams Sonoma Peppermint Bark Dupe!
Christmas Microwave Peppermint Bark. An easy homemade gift idea in just 30 minutes!
The first time I ever tried Peppermint Bark it was from Williams Sonoma and it was amazing!
So I set out to re-create this fabulous treat myself because as amazing as it is, it’s also pretty expensive.
You, like me, probably don’t have a ton of time or money during the holiday season.
Well here is an affordable and easy homemade chocolate bark you make right in the microwave!
2-Layer Microwave Chocolate Peppermint Bark
This Peppermint Bark recipe I’ve been making for YEARS and it is EASY – I mean really easy.
Plus it is very affordable costing only $7 per batch (if you use good chocolate) or $3.50 a gift bag! One batch I usually split into two bags.
With only 4 ingredients from your local grocery store, it is a simple to follow recipe even for those who don’t regularly cook or bake.
Luckily, the working time is only 10 minutes and it is ready in 30 minutes, for that late night OH MY GOSH I need to bring something in tomorrow moment:)
Double or triple ingredients to make multiple batches! The only limit to this is your time and baking pans.
Also, if you don’t like a milk/white chocolate combo you can use any type of baking chip flavors you prefer!

Now you get to be creative and think about the little packages of goodies you will present of Peppermint Bark.
Luckily, I found some candy cane striped bags at Home Goods the other day and I think they look so cute with the Peppermint Bark inside of them.
Also look for them at the Dollar Stores, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc! Or SHOP ONLINE.
See how easy that was? Take the time to make something for someone you appreciate or make some to share in your own home!
My son is eating one of those bags as I type 🙂 The other is off to my ex-husband’s family.
May peace be with you this holiday season!
It can be a hard time of year for many people, so please check in on those who may be lonely and share your Peppermint Bark 🙂

Tracey
Thank you Tracey for this wonderful recipe! It came out perfect. Just one problem – we can’t stop snacking on it and now I have to make another batch to have enough to put out on Christmas day!
Ha, ha! So glad you liked it and why I always make two batches 🙂
I made these today using Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips as the base and Wilton red candy melts for the top. Sprinkled mini M&Ms on top. Yet when the time came to break this apart, the layers, for the most part, came apart! When I make bark, I melt almond bark and add candy/whatever to the mixture and place in jelly roll pan with parchment paper as the base. Never had a problem. Since I don’t make bark using chocolate chips, I was intrigued and made this. The layers were solid before moving to the next step – so what went wrong?
Hey, Julie. Not sure what went wrong because you used different layers than I did. Mine was two layers of chocolate chips and I’ve never used candy melts. No issues in 10 years making it exactly as recorded in this post. Sorry!
